The famous pharmacy ‘Under the Eagle’, is located at a very
particular spot - right next to where former Krakow's ghetto wall
used to be. It's now a branch of the Historical Museum of Krakow.
Pharmacy was one of not many non-Jewish institutions located in a
Jewish ghetto. Due to that it was truly unique and was able to
serve and protect people's lives. Was founded and run by a Polish
pharmacist Tadeusz Pankiewicz.
Christmas time is mostly white in Krakow snow-clad usually from mid
December to mid March, with small variations from one season to
another. And “days are longest in June, hottest in July, and most
beautiful in August”–an old Polish poem says. On the other hand,
Krakow’s perfect springs fill the city with sweet-smelling blossoms
